Using The Attachments

You will find unlimited uses for your steam cleaner. There are no rules when it comes to steam cleaning and/or the attachments you received with your units. Use whichever attachment seems to accomplish the job intended quickly and easily. Below however are some guidelines for starting out:

General Cleaning and Sanitizing with the Steam Jet Nozzle:

Many surfaces require only spraying with your steam jet nozzle to clean and disinfect them and then wipe with a clean dry cloth or towel, or paper towel.

To sanitize surfaces, point steam cleaning nozzle, press steam button, and hold approximately 1/2 inch from surface for at least 5 seconds. This will insure that you have killed germs and bacteria. Wipe steamed areas with a clean cloth to remove loosened dirt and grime.

Uses for the steam jet nozzle include:

Kitchen counters, microwaves, stove tops, refrigerators, bathroom sinks, toilet, kitchen and bath fixtures, children's toys, the baby nursery, jewelry, pet cages, degreasing car engines, lawn furniture, etc.

Using the Nylon Utility Brushes and Scrub Pad:

The small nylon bristle brushes can be used on most surfaces for hard to remove dirt, grime, grease and stains, for example:

Baked on food on ovens and oven doors, baked on stovetop spills, bath and/or kitchen grease/grime, the rubber seal on the refrigerator, seals around bath fixtures, bath tile seams, grouting, engine grease and grime, auto wheels and floor mats, lawn mowers, outdoor furniture, fish tanks, pet messes, A/C grills, etc.

The small short nylon brush is also very effective in removing stains/spots from clothing and upholstery. This can be done with steam alone or with a stain remover designed for your specific needs. Do not put any type of product in your steamer however, only water is to be used in the steamer. Other products used in conjunction with the steamer are to be used directly on the items to be cleaned following the manufacturer's suggestions.

Using the Brass Utility Brush:

The brass brushes are useful for heavy-duty jobs such as your BBQ grill, oven grills, grout around kitchen sinks, and tire wheels, etc. Do not use this brush on anything that the hard brush surface might scratch or mar.

Floor Brushes:

The floor brush with or with out the fabric cover can be used on upholstery depending on the type of fabric being cleaned. This can also be used on linoleum and tile floors, and even on brick and stone floors without the fabric cover. Use the floor brush on treated wood floors with cloth cover, and test in an inconspicuous area.

Triangle Brush:

The Triangle brush is helpful in hard to reach corners and other smaller places the floor brush will not fit into. You can also use it for cleaning jobs that just seem too big for one of the small round brushes. This brush is also useful to help remove hair, lint, dirt etc from jackets, curtains, draperies and vertical blinds, and also very useful in cleaning grout.

Squeegee:

The squeegee works on windows, mirrors, shower doors, bathroom tiles and many other smooth surfaces. Again, you may need to wipe the surface and the squeegee edge with a paper or cloth towel.

For Tough Stains:

Some stains when dried, whether on carpet or other surfaces, may require a bit of extra scrubbing with one of the brushes and/or a product designed for stain removal. It is helpful on carpet and cloth surfaces to blot with a clean dry towel to help remove the spot/stain.
