SteamFast Earns Good Housekeeping Seal on Products

KANSAS CITY, MO – In an effort to strengthen its positioning among female consumers, SteamFast® has earned the Good Housekeeping Seal for several of its steam cleaning and fabric steaming products.

Specific SteamFast units which have earned the Good Housekeeping Seal include: SF-275 Steam Cleaner, SF-260A Steam Cleaner, SF-227 handheld Steam Cleaner, SF-222 Steam Cleaner, and the SF-435 Compact Fabric Steamer.

These are in addition to the SF-465 Professional Fabric Steamer, which earned the Seal in 2004. Moreover, the SF-465 was selected in April of last year by the Good Housekeeping Institute as ‘Best Overall” in a side-by-side comparison with other national fabric steaming brands.

A survey conducted in March 2005 by Fairfield Research for Good Housekeeping, revealed that “81 percent of consumers polled are more inclined to buy the product with the Seal.” Additionally, the research indicates, “If a product they wanted to buy was priced higher than expected, consumers are willing to pay more for a product if it displayed the Seal.”

SteamFast was also selected by the Women’s Entertainment network daytime television show, “Simple Living” hosted by Michael Douglas, to feature two of its Good Housekeeping Seal designated units – the SteamFast SF-435 Compact Fabric Streamer, and the SF-227 Handheld Steam Cleaner – in a five-minute segment which will reach up to 20 million TV households in July.
